Hi, I'm Christy! My journey into psychology has always been closely tied to my desire to work deeply with people, not just systems or structures. Even when life led me into management roles for safety and stability, my connection to therapy never faded. I became increasingly aware of how central the therapeutic space is, the presence, the depth, and the human connection, and this awareness continues to shape how I show up in my work today. Therapy, for me, was never just a profession, but something that continued to call me back.
Living and working across India and Germany has shaped how I understand emotional life and change. Relocating brought with it a wide spectrum of experiences adaptation, shifts in identity, evolving relationships, and the quiet work of finding one’s footing again. Being exposed to people from many cultures has deepened my sensitivity to how context, culture, and environment shape distress, resilience, and the ways people seek support.
In my work as a therapist, I offer a warm, reflective space that adapts to the person in front of me. Some clients come with clear concerns and a desire for structure; others arrive wanting to explore patterns, relationships, or questions that feel harder to name. I work flexibly between these needs, grounding sessions in care, curiosity, and collaboration. At the heart of my practice is a humanistic belief that growth happens when people feel supported, understood, and met where they are allowing change to unfold in ways that feel both meaningful and sustainable.
7170+ hours of work in therapy
I didn't stop learning after my masters, I have been continuously investing in practical case-based training, client work, and my own personal therapy.
We show therapy sessions so you can better understand a therapist's real-world experience.
Two therapists may both have five years in practice, yet one might have completed 500 sessions while another has completed 3,000. This depends on whether they practice part-time or full-time and how consistently they see clients. Session counts make that difference visible.
Just as you would not trust a surgeon who has only read about the human body but never operated, therapy cannot be mastered through textbooks alone. While many master's programs in India are heavily theory-driven, practical training develops the real skill of therapy - learning how to ask the right question, when to hold silence, when to challenge, and how to respond in complex emotional moments.
Therapists are human, and they carry their own histories. When a client's experiences resemble their own, old patterns can get activated.
For example, if a therapist grew up with a highly critical parent and a client shares a similar experience, that old pattern can get activated. They may unconsciously over-identify, rescue, or react instead of staying objective. Personal therapy helps therapists recognise their own triggers and patterns so they can respond thoughtfully and continue to hold a non-judgemental space. Nobody is born non judgemental, it takes a lot of personal work to get there.

What sessions with me feel like
My sessions are shaped around what feels most supportive for you at the moment. Some clients come with clear concerns and appreciate gentle structure; others arrive with a felt sense that something isn’t quite right. I hold space for both, allowing the work to unfold without rushing it into a fixed direction. Alongside conversation and reflection, I often invite attention to the body, noticing sensations, shifts, or responses that might offer information words can’t always capture. This isn’t about doing exercises or pushing awareness, but about slowing down enough to listen to what the body is already communicating. For many clients, this helps create a sense of grounding and regulation, especially during periods of stress or transition.
I don’t assign homework, and the work stays rooted in the session itself. Over time, sessions may move between emotional exploration, practical understanding, and body-based awareness, always paced collaboratively. The aim is not to force change, but to support clarity, stability, and a deeper connection with yourself as you navigate life’s changes.

You’ll usually find me painting, sketching, or soaking in nature’s quiet magic, trees, open skies, and spaces that invite a slower breath. Creativity is how I process, recharge, and make sense of emotions, often with a splash of colour or an imperfect line. I try to live gently, with kindness, patience, and a healthy respect for life’s messiness, believing that growth takes time, and that imperfection is where the real beauty lives.

"I was angry, frustrated, sad, mad, restless, and anxious when a friend recommended Ms. Francis. It has been a couple of years since, and now I am okay. My busy, constantly chattering mind is now mostly calm and spacious. The baggage is behind me for good. I appreciate Christy's ways and techniques. Specifically when she would change her methods to meet my needs. The coping skills she taught me have been very useful. She is a very warm and sweet person and it's easy to talk to her. I am happy to say that therapy with Ms. Francis was a much needed reset, and I am forever grateful."

Frequently Asked Questions
What approaches do you work with?
I work primarily with Somatic Experiencing, trauma-focused therapy, cognitive and emotion-focused approaches, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. This allows me to integrate body-based awareness with reflective and practical therapeutic work.
What languages do you offer sessions in?
I offer sessions in English and Malayalam. I also understand Tamil.
What type of people may not be the right fit for you?
I may not be the right fit if you are primarily seeking support for autism or psychosis, as these concerns often require more specialised or multidisciplinary care.
Do you have experience working with clients outside India? Which countries?
Yes. I have worked with clients internationally, including individuals based in Germany USA, Denmark, UK, and India.
Are your sessions more structured or exploratory?
My sessions are flexible and adaptive. They can be gently structured when needed, but are largely exploratory, allowing the process to unfold at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
Will I get exercises or reflection work between sessions?
I typically do not assign formal homework. The work stays rooted in the session, though I may occasionally invite gentle noticing, grounding, or reflection practices.
What if I disagree with you?
I genuinely welcome disagreement in our work together. If something I say doesn't sit right with you, I encourage you to share it openly. Therapy is a collaborative space, and your voice matters deeply here. Often, moments of disagreement lead to powerful insights, about patterns, boundaries, needs, or past experiences. Exploring these moments together can become an important part of your therapeutic growth and help us build a more honest, trusting relationship.
What if it doesn't feel like it's working after a few sessions?
Let's talk about it openly. Therapy is a collaborative process, and it's important that you feel safe sharing if something doesn't feel right. Sometimes, naming what isn't working can lead to meaningful shifts in the work itself. You are always free to pause, take a break, or explore a different therapist if that feels better for you. We can have that conversation together first, or you can also reach out to the Mindbun team for support in finding a better fit. Your comfort and growth matter more than pushing through something silently.
