Mitushi Jain

Psychotherapist

  • Referred by a therapist

Hi, I'm Mitushi! At the heart of my work is a simple belief drawn from Transactional Analysis, people are born okay. I hold this philosophy closely in my therapy room. It shapes how I see distress, relationships, and change, not as signs of something broken, but as responses to lived experiences that deserve understanding and care.

I approach therapy as a process of co-travelling. Rather than directing or fixing, I walk alongside my clients as they navigate stress, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges. I believe deeply in each person’s capacity for growth and resilience, and my role is to help create the conditions where that potential can unfold. Over time, this means gently exploring patterns, strengthening inner resources, and finding ways to respond to life with more awareness and choice.

I’ve worked with individuals and couples, both in person and online, around concerns such as academic and workplace stress, trauma, grief, and relationship or marital difficulties. While techniques and frameworks inform my work, they never take centre stage. What matters most to me is the therapeutic relationship itself, a space that feels safe, supportive, and alive. I believe it is within this relationship that healing happens most meaningfully, allowing clients to feel seen, supported, and empowered as they move through their journey.

3000+ hours of work in therapy

I didn't stop learning after my masters, I have been continuously investing in practical case-based training, client work, and my own personal therapy.

We show therapy sessions so you can better understand a therapist's real-world experience.

Two therapists may both have five years in practice, yet one might have completed 500 sessions while another has completed 3,000. This depends on whether they practice part-time or full-time and how consistently they see clients. Session counts make that difference visible.

Just as you would not trust a surgeon who has only read about the human body but never operated, therapy cannot be mastered through textbooks alone. While many master's programs in India are heavily theory-driven, practical training develops the real skill of therapy - learning how to ask the right question, when to hold silence, when to challenge, and how to respond in complex emotional moments.

Therapists are human, and they carry their own histories. When a client's experiences resemble their own, old patterns can get activated.

For example, if a therapist grew up with a highly critical parent and a client shares a similar experience, that old pattern can get activated. They may unconsciously over-identify, rescue, or react instead of staying objective. Personal therapy helps therapists recognise their own triggers and patterns so they can respond thoughtfully and continue to hold a non-judgemental space. Nobody is born non judgemental, it takes a lot of personal work to get there.

What sessions with me feel like

I begin sessions by getting a sense of where you are coming from, what has brought you here, what feels heavy, and what you’re hoping to understand or shift. The space is guided by your pace and consent, allowing room for thoughtful pauses, reflection, and, when it feels right, gentle exploration of past experiences that continue to shape the present.

While we may identify short-term and longer-term goals together, therapy with me isn’t bound by a rigid structure. The work unfolds collaboratively, adapting to what you need in each session. I focus on building a strong, supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow, trusting that change happens most meaningfully when it is grounded in connection, care, and mutual respect.

What clients say

"I’ve been working with Mitushi for over a year, and the experience has been truly transformative. She helped me navigate difficult emotions with patience, empathy, and clarity, while also gently encouraging self-reflection and accountability when needed. Her approach deepened my self-understanding and helped me build healthier ways of coping. I’m deeply grateful for this journey and highly recommend her."

"I’m very grateful for my sessions with Mitushi. She created a safe space where I could openly share my emotions and concerns. Through her support, I gained a better understanding of my mental health and began processing emotions I had long avoided. Her calm presence and insight were incredibly helpful, and I would strongly recommend her to anyone seeking emotional support."

"Although my therapy journey with Mitushi was brief, the warmth and safety she created stayed with me. She helped me notice small, deeply held beliefs that quietly shape identity, and gently guided me to question them. These subtle shifts made a big difference for me. I remain thankful for the care and clarity she offered during our time together."

I've been referred to Mindbun by therapist Ramya Navin, herself an experienced transactional analysis therapist.

Therapists know what good therapy feels like. That's why this referral is stronger, and why you can trust it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What approaches do you work with?

I primarily work with Transactional Analysis (TA), integrating ACT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, NLP, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) where helpful.

What languages do you offer sessions in?

I offer sessions in English and Hindi.

What type of people may not be the right fit for you?

I may not be the right fit if you are primarily seeking support for autism or psychosis.

Do you have experience working with clients outside India? Which countries?

Yes. I have worked with clients across multiple countries through online therapy, including the USA and UK.

Are your sessions more structured or exploratory?

My sessions are collaborative and flexible. While we may identify goals, the work remains exploratory and paced according to your needs.

Will I get exercises or reflection work between sessions?

I may suggest reflective or mindfulness-based practices when supportive, but there is no fixed or mandatory homework.

What if I disagree with you?

I genuinely welcome disagreement in our work together. If something I say doesn't sit right with you, I encourage you to share it openly. Therapy is a collaborative space, and your voice matters deeply here. Often, moments of disagreement lead to powerful insights, about patterns, boundaries, needs, or past experiences. Exploring these moments together can become an important part of your therapeutic growth and help us build a more honest, trusting relationship.

What if it doesn't feel like it's working after a few sessions?

Let's talk about it openly. Therapy is a collaborative process, and it's important that you feel safe sharing if something doesn't feel right. Sometimes, naming what isn't working can lead to meaningful shifts in the work itself. You are always free to pause, take a break, or explore a different therapist if that feels better for you. We can have that conversation together first, or you can also reach out to the Mindbun team for support in finding a better fit. Your comfort and growth matter more than pushing through something silently.
