Hi, I'm Vaishali! For me therapeutic work is a belief in the deep connection between body, mind, and consciousness. I approach therapy as a space where these parts can come back into dialogue with one another, gently, compassionately, and at a pace that feels safe. Values like radical acceptance, collaboration, authenticity, and care guide how I show up in the therapy room.

My work is relational and strengths-based. I believe that each person carries an inherent wisdom within them, even when it feels distant or inaccessible. Therapy, for me, is about creating the conditions where that wisdom can be accessed again, by building emotional safety, reconnecting with the body, and exploring patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. A significant part of my work involves helping clients heal attachment wounds, develop relational safety, and nurture a more authentic sense of self.

While my approach is structured, it is never rigid. I work collaboratively to hold continuity across sessions, revisiting themes, tracking growth, and gently returning to goals when it feels useful. I’m attentive to balancing reflection with direction, allowing space for depth while also supporting clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms and greater emotional regulation. Therapy with me is an ongoing, connected process, one that supports healing, resilience, and meaningful change over time.

5600+ hours of work in therapy

I didn't stop learning after my masters, I have been continuously investing in practical case-based training, client work, and my own personal therapy.

We show therapy sessions so you can better understand a therapist's real-world experience.

Two therapists may both have five years in practice, yet one might have completed 500 sessions while another has completed 3,000. This depends on whether they practice part-time or full-time and how consistently they see clients. Session counts make that difference visible.

Just as you would not trust a surgeon who has only read about the human body but never operated, therapy cannot be mastered through textbooks alone. While many master's programs in India are heavily theory-driven, practical training develops the real skill of therapy - learning how to ask the right question, when to hold silence, when to challenge, and how to respond in complex emotional moments.

Therapists are human, and they carry their own histories. When a client's experiences resemble their own, old patterns can get activated.

For example, if a therapist grew up with a highly critical parent and a client shares a similar experience, that old pattern can get activated. They may unconsciously over-identify, rescue, or react instead of staying objective. Personal therapy helps therapists recognise their own triggers and patterns so they can respond thoughtfully and continue to hold a non-judgemental space. Nobody is born non judgemental, it takes a lot of personal work to get there.

What sessions with me feel like

My sessions offer a steady, supportive structure that helps create continuity and a sense of grounding over time. We begin by understanding what feels most important for you in the moment, while also keeping sight of the larger themes and goals that are unfolding across sessions. I regularly revisit and reflect on what we’ve been working with, so the process feels connected rather than fragmented. While there is direction and intention in the work, it’s never rigid or prescriptive. I don’t rely heavily on homework; instead, the focus remains on what happens within the session, emotional exploration, relational patterns, body awareness, and meaning-making. I balance depth with clarity, allowing space for feelings and reflection while also supporting practical shifts when needed.

Therapy with me is collaborative and paced with care. I pay close attention to safety, consent, and your readiness, adjusting the work as you grow. Over time, sessions help build emotional regulation, relational safety, and a stronger connection to your authentic self, creating change that feels integrated and sustainable.

Outside therapy

I find joy in movement, whether that’s dancing, maintaining a regular Hatha Yoga practice, or exploring evolving fashion and makeup trends. Above all, I cherish raising my little human, my child, a role that brings depth, perspective, and tenderness into my everyday life.

What clients say

"Doing therapy with Vaishali has been a very supportive and compassionate experience. I started sessions during a difficult period of grief after losing a family member, and she helped me process my emotions with patience and understanding. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where I feel comfortable sharing, and gently guides me toward healing, emotional acceptance, and moving forward. I truly look forward to our therapy sessions."

Frequently Asked Questions

What approaches do you work with?

I work primarily with Transactional Analysis, Somatic Experiencing, Gestalt Therapy, REBT, and NLP, integrating cognitive, emotional, and body-based approaches depending on your needs.

What languages do you offer sessions in?

I offer sessions in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. I understand Marathi.

What type of people may not be the right fit for you?

I may not be the right fit if you are primarily seeking support for psychosis, personality disorders, or neurodivergence.

Do you have experience working with clients outside India? Which countries?

Yes. I work extensively with NRI clients across 7+ countries, including the UK, US, France, Canada, Netherlands.

Are your sessions more structured or exploratory?

My sessions are primarily exploratory and client-led, but I bring in structure and practical tools when clarity or direction is needed.

Will I get exercises or reflection work between sessions?

At times, yes. I may suggest reflections, somatic practices, or structured tools, but only if they support your pace and goals rather than overwhelm you.

What if I disagree with you?

I genuinely welcome disagreement in our work together. If something I say doesn't sit right with you, I encourage you to share it openly. Therapy is a collaborative space, and your voice matters deeply here. Often, moments of disagreement lead to powerful insights, about patterns, boundaries, needs, or past experiences. Exploring these moments together can become an important part of your therapeutic growth and help us build a more honest, trusting relationship.

What if it doesn't feel like it's working after a few sessions?

Let's talk about it openly. Therapy is a collaborative process, and it's important that you feel safe sharing if something doesn't feel right. Sometimes, naming what isn't working can lead to meaningful shifts in the work itself. You are always free to pause, take a break, or explore a different therapist if that feels better for you. We can have that conversation together first, or you can also reach out to the Mindbun team for support in finding a better fit. Your comfort and growth matter more than pushing through something silently.
